RECIPE MALVA PUDDING

50 ml butter
400g white sugar
2 eggs
2 tsp bicabonate of soda
500ml full cream milk
525 ml cake flour, sifted
2 Tbsp apricot jam
2 Tbsp white vinegar

Sauce
250ml cream
200g Brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
250 ml full cream milk
1tsp vanilla essence
Pinch of salt

Method
Preheat your oven to 180degrees. Cream butter and sugar together until creamy add eggs and mix through. Dissolve bicarbonate of soda in your milk add this together with the remaining ingredients beat until it is smooth, pour into a large greased baking dish and bake for about 35 -40 minutes until Brown and cooked

Sauce recipe
While your puddingbis baking boil all the sauce ingredients together for about 5 minutes until sugar has melted stir often to prevent from burning.

Ingredients
1 onion chopped
1 tsp Chicken Spice
1 knorrox cube
1 carrot sliced
Cabbage, cut into thin slices
400 g can of pilchard 
2 Tbsp mushroom sauce
1/2cup water

Instructions
In a pot fry the onion in oil until soft.
Add Chicken Spice, knorrox cube and fry for two minutes, stirring continuously.
Add the cabbage, carrots and fry for a further five minutes.
Then add the water, stir well and bring to the boil.
Turn down the heat and simmer with the lid on until the cabbage is tender.
Add the pilchards to the pot, stir well and allow to heat through.
Just before done, mix the soup with four tablespoons of water to make a smooth paste then add it to the pot and allow to simmer for five minutes, stirring continuously until thickened.
Serve with pasta pap or rice.

500g maize meal
1 tsp salt
1 litre water
Fresh parsley
Cheese cubed

Bring water to a boil in a saucepan and add salt…maize meal, slowly whisk in the maize meal and cook for 15min 
Roll up the pap to form a ball covering cheese inside and bake for 3min.

Ingredients 
5 cups flour
1 packet instant yeast
60ml sugar
pinch Salt
Warm water

Method:

Mix flour, salt,yeast & sugar. 
Add water to the dry mixture and knead until the dough is soft and elastic.
Place dough into a bowl, cover bowl with a plastic bag or cloth and leave in a warm place for an hour to rise.
Pour cooking oil in a deep pot and wait until is hot enough.Place the balls in the pot when the side is golden brown, turn over and allow the other side to cook as well.

Fried chicken and salad

Drumsticks
Ingredients:
2 beaten eggs
1/2 cup milk
1 tspn Paprika
2 tblspn chicken spice
4 tblspn bread crumbs 
1/2 cup flour

Directions
Beat the egg and milk together in a bowl.
Combine all the dry ingredients
Put the chicken in the bag, seal it and shake to coat it.
Dip the flour-coated chicken in the egg mixture and again in the flour mixture.
Heat the oil…..Brown the chicken on all sides in the hot oil.
Turn the heat down to medium low and give the chicken another half an hour or until it is cooked through.
Drain it on paper towels and serve.

Biscuits

Ingredients
3 cups self-raising flour
3 cups fine desiccated coconut
2 cups sugar
250g margarine or butter, softened
3 large eggs
50ml milk
1 tsp vanilla essence

Directions
Preheat oven to 180°C.
In a large bowl, mix the dry ingredients together.
Add margarine or butter, eggs, milk and vanilla essence.
Mix well with an electric mixer until a soft dough is formed.
Make little balls, place them on a greased baking tray and flatten them 
Bake for 10 minutes or until the biscuits are a light golden brown.

Ingredients
Beef curry
2 tblsp cooking oil
1 onion, chopped
½ green pepper, chopped
1 Tspn dhania spice
1 Tspn garum spice
3 Tspn tomato paste
1 Tspn paprika
2 carrots, peeled and chopped
2 potatoes, peeled and cut in quarters
1 Knorrox beef stock
1 cup water
1/4cup amasi 

Instructions
Heat oil in a pot and fry the onion and green pepper until soft.
Add Spices and fry for one minute stirring continuously.
In a separate bowl, mix beef pieces with sour milk (amasi) and tomato paste until well coated.
Add the beef to the pot and fry until well browned.
Then add carrots, potatoes, Knorrox beef Stock Cube and water. Stir well.
Cover pot with a lid and allow to simmer for one hour or until the meat is tender.

Biscuits ibake Even though baking is not my strong skill but ke i tried

INGREDIENTS
For the biscuits

175g butter
60ml icing sugar
5ml vanilla essence
250ml flour
60ml cornflour

METHOD
Preheat the oven to 180°C.
Beat the butter, icing sugar and vanilla with an electric beater until light and fluffy. Stir in the flour and cornflour until just combined
Bake for 12-14 min.

Chickenstew

Ingredients
1 Tbsp cooking oil
6 chicken pieces
1 onion, finely chopped
½ green pepper, finely chopped
1 Tbsp Paprika
1 tspn mixed spices
1/2 cup water
Mixed veggies 
1 Knorrox Chicken Stock Cube
2 tspn tomato paste
1 tspn garlic minced
Salt and pepper 

Instructions
1. Heat oil in a medium size pot and fry the chicken pieces until well browned on all sides then remove from the pot and set aside.
2. Add the onion and green pepper and fry until soft…Add Spices and fry for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
Add water, stock cube and chicken to the pot. Bring to the boil then reduce the heat and allow to simmer covered for 15 minutes…then add tomato paste and let it simmer for few minutes.
