Instructions:
- Brown Meat & Soften Peppers: Add the ground Italian sausage and chopped bell peppers to a large saucepan or skillet with deep sides. Place over medium-high heat. Cook, breaking up the sausage, until the meat is completely browned and the peppers have begun to soften.
- Add Garlic & Seasoning: Lower the heat to medium. Add the minced garlic and Italian seasoning to the skillet. Sauté for 30 seconds longer until fragrant.
- Deglaze with Wine: Mix in the white cooking wine. Continue to sauté until the liquid in the pot is reduced by half.
- Add Tomatoes & Seasonings: Pour the diced tomatoes (do not drain the can) into the pot along with the dried basil and salt and pepper to taste. Stir well to combine.
