Instructions:
- Preheat and Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a bundt pan with nonstick baking spray and set aside.
- Combine Cake Ingredients: In a medium mixing bowl, combine the yellow cake mix, vanilla pudding mix, brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, eggs, milk, vegetable oil, sour cream, and sweet white wine.
- Mix Cake Batter: Beat the mixture until all ingredients are fully combined and the batter is smooth.
- Bake the Cake: Pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean and the edges of the cake have pulled slightly away from the pan.
- Prepare Glaze: While the cake is baking, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan, combine the butter, sweet white wine, and granulated sugar. Heat and stir over medium heat until the sugar is dissolved and the butter is melted. Remove from heat.
- Poke Holes in Cake: Once the cake is baked, remove it from the oven (but leave it in the pan). Use a bamboo skewer or toothpick to poke holes all over the bottom of the cake while it’s still in the pan.
- Pour Glaze over Cake: Pour the hot glaze evenly over the cake, allowing it to soak into the holes. This process will take about 15-20 minutes.
- Remove from Pan: Once the glaze is absorbed, use a spatula to loosen the edges of the cake from the pan as much as possible. Turn the cake out onto a cake plate.
- Serve: Cut and serve the Crack Cake. Enjoy the rich, moist texture and the delicious glaze!
